VEO (Virtual Engagement and Ordering) is a web-based B2B platform, which BAT uses to guide and influence their customers ordering product online, and Canada, in the future, provide them with an engagement and educational resource.
VEO overall aims to deliver the following:
- An externally-hosted B2B (Business to Business) website for combustibles;
- A framework for deployment into many end markets
- Localization within defined parameters;
- Integration with core BAT systems for the purpose of Financial Control/Reporting, Customer Relationship Management, Order History, Order Management/Tracking and Product/Pricing.

Project aims at providing a platform for calculating Formula based Next Order Cost Factors and making it available to the downstream cost system for further processing.Currently, there exists an Excel based application which generates List Cost and Exception List Cost, based on Market Indicator calculations and Formula attributes derived from a Vendor Contract, by applying the algebraic equations as defined in the formulas.At the end of this project, Commodity Cost Excel Workbooks will be retired and a Formula Based Cost Factor Calculation Application, which is integrated with the existing Cost Applications, will be available for users to perform the Next Order Cost Factor Calculation activities.

Error Files (Jun 2012 - Aug 2013):Guides the employee in submitting the Error Files to avoid from the marking of infractions.Minimizes the employee (TL & End User) time spent on preparing the Error File details and maximizes the production time.Briefing Tracker (May 2012 – May 2012):It keep tracks of every briefing for every individual QA.Minimizes the QA time to spend on preparing the briefing reports.File Request (Dec2011 – May 2012):Easy to assign the files with the online request for the WFMs.Minimizes the waiting time of the employee and maximizes the productive time.For every Assign/Un-Assign request of files is alerted/highlighted to the WFMs, so that it is easy to identify the Assign/Un-Assign requests in the queue.Driver Place Holder (Jul 2011 – Dec 2011):Driver Place Holder (DPH) module is a tool for creating the drivers in Smart Drive portal.This avoids duplication of driver images in Smart Drive Portal.TL Audits (Jun 2011 – Jul 2011):It measures the product awareness of a TL.Daily Audits should be done by TL to make the QAs and TLs in one page.Leave Management System (LMS) (Jan 2011 – Jun 2011):It standardizes a common universal process for entire organization.It uses the standard leave approval process of Initiating Officer and reviewing officer having 2 stages.Attendance Management System (AMS) (Nov 2010 – Jan 2011):Accumulate the attendance data for each employee from the Smart Zone.It captures in time, out time, over time, late entries, early outs, absence, leaves etc.Payroll processing will be considered based on AMS.Smart Escalation Tool (Sept 2010 – Nov 2010):Robust monitoring mechanism can be initiated in place to avoid any defect.Employee /Team leader can escalate the clips to the QA team which in turn can be sent to the central team for clarifications.Smart Assessment Tool (April 2010– Sept 2010):Weekly/ Monthly test will be uploaded to Team (Employees, QAs, Team leaders)New hires assessment will be conducted to measure & deliver good throughput.Aux Management (June 2009 – April 2010):Aux Management is used to monitor the Employees Aux Usage.Easy to find the Employees current status.
