Description
With an aim to enhancing the performance of HVAC subsystem, The computation of onboard algorithm plays a paramount role in improving them. So by segregating the HVAC algorithms into critical and non-critical category and offloading the non-critical’s to the Cloud(AWS) instance , the ECU load can be sufficiently relieved which plays significant role in comforting the ECU and attending other critical stuffs with easy. So this project assists to build a prototype chassis having the above functionality using a off the self IMX Nitrogen6x board from the boundary devices and building the BSP layer for the CAN communication on the Ubuntu platform (bionic 18.0.4) over it which further can be integrated with the “C” converted MATLAB model for future simulation and integration with cloud computing.

This project aims at the implementing the functionality of process migration from one ECU to other basing upon the current CPU load and memory usage constraint on the current node. So as and when a particular slave node gets choked of with heavy processing like camera data processing or any critical functionality. The same will be offloaded to another compatible node, had the same not been handled by the current node.

- IPDS subsystem is part of the overall T5 Ethernet switch system typically used in self driving autonomous Car. It is provided by the Molex to the GM for its end product manufacturing. The IPDS subsystem take cares of the monitoring of overall T5 system’s temperature and voltage and reporting them to the master IPROC subsystem which controls the overall Ethernet switch functionality. As the battery temperature deviates from normal range, in order to maintain the safety measure as per the ASIL D level. It correspondingly either switches of the whole system or moves over to another battery source
