New Business Accelerator (nbA) addresses life insurers’ need for improved productivity by
offering complete business process management and assessment capabilities that automate and streamline
end-to-end new insurance application submission, underwriting and policy issuance. The new product
complies with CSC’s commomn service-oriented architecture, including use of ACCORD’s (Association for
Cooperative Operations Researchs and Developments) XMLife standard for seamless integration with other
systems and third-party information providers.
nbA compresses the time and reduces the cost of issuing life and annuity contracts. By eliminating
processing steps, reducing handoffs and automating tasks, nbAccelerator brings unparalleled speed and
economy to the new business process.
nbAccelerator (nbA) is an N-Tier application that combines the resources of a workflow system: Automated
Work Distributor (AWD), a decision making engine: Visual Product Modeling System (VP/MS), and back-end
systems: Vantage and CyberLife, into an integrated application for New Business processing. It utilizes
common (supporting both Vantage and CyberLife) front ends for user input. It uses automated processes to
perform many of the steps necessary to move an insurance or annuity application to its final destination.
Within the nbA application, contract information is delivered to the various components using the ACORD
XMLife XML standard.

Correspondence Generator is a project on Health Care domain. It handles renewal notices
and report generation for BCBSRI and for Claim verification. It has various sub modules like, PER Renewal
Notice, Student Re-certification, OCL, Code extracts for Claim verification etc. It is in Analysis phase.

NEO project is part of 21 CN drive of BT. It’s a project on Telecom domain. NEO is part of
business tier. It involves customization of ‘Clarify’ an Amdocs product, to suit business need of client. It has
3 major modules Service Fulfillment, Service Assurance and Core. SF module was to handle Complex ordersfor its fulfillment. It included managing the order within our system as well as network activation, creatingcase/ Work Order for onsite engg. team. SA was about assuring services / fault management as per SLA.
Core consists of interface part of Neo and contains strategic solution for T2R and L2C in Neo. SA platform isthe common set of OCS processes dealing with fault handing in Neo. It involves Clarify process manager andClarify e-Support module.
Core is basically to handle interfacing with all the third party interfaces and also to hold common support
services for SF and SA module. It is live for some of the solutions. This project was a fore-runner for AmdocsB/OSS Manager product. Agile methodology has been used as development (SDLC) methodology.
Responsibilities:
Managed delivery of Core components with ateam distributed at three different geographical location, It involves customization of ‘Amdocs ClarifyCRM’portfolio of customer-centric solutions, adopt to Agile methodology of SDLC, understandingclientrequirement, Client interaction, effort estimation, finalizing design, coding, projectmanagement planning and tracking, Risk Management, Gap identification and its resolution.
