Setup notification in CloudWatch for the job failures, schedule job as time trigger and event trigger.

Initially worked in AMI (Automated metering Interface) to roll out all meter with smart meter. SCANA Corporation was using Teradata as DWH tool, Teradata SQL Assistant tool used to do analysis on data and generating report. SQLSERVER from which the data will be migrated to Teradata as per the purge criteria. We have replaced the Teradata DWH with the Hadoop HDFS. Created similar scripts shell scripts and scheduled in oozie. The same data will be migrated to HDFS using SQOOP as data ingestion tool to extract data from SQLSERVER. The Teradata tables are created in the HIVE metadata repository.

With the opening of a Target Food RDC, random weight items will be processed through Target RDCs for the first time, requiring changes to systems.  Random weight product includes items such as t-bone steaks, bone-in roasts, turkeys and deli meat.  The invoices for these items must be paid based on the actual weight received at the DC and not the item VCP on file.  Since the actual weight of each carton will vary, the DCs will not hold inventory at the actual case weight for random weight items.  To maintain a more accurate financial and unit inventory visibility for these items, changes would be required to several Target systems.  The current systems were built with the assumption that the case-pack will be a whole number, and that it will be consistent over time.

The production support and application maintenance is accomplished in a typical onsite-offshore model. Production problems (Break fix) are recorded in a custom-made web site that is monitored round the clock. Time to respond and Time to fix production problems are bound by Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Time to repair problems range from One hour for critical stop problems to 8 hours for low impact problems. Work Requests are enhancement/ modification requirements that are worked on by Subject Matter Experts at offshore.

The “Old” to “New” conversion routines will be implemented to convert the loss reports from the legacy claims database to ARP-Claims database. The “Old” to “New” conversion routines will be designed in such a way that they can run in batch or on-line modes. Batch cycles will be used to handle conversion of large numbers of losses. The on-line mode will be used to handle single loss conversions. Single loss conversions will be needed when a user needs to review loss data for a loss report that has not been processed through the batch processes. The conversion routines will also be used when a loss in the old format is restored from tape archives.
