Hashicorp HA setup required creation of 2 vault instances and 3 consul instances.Infra part was done using terraform.While for the configuration management we preferred using Chef.

Chef Recipes were used for all the configurations of vault server,consul client and consul server.Also got the consul backups being done in automated fashion to OCI buckets using chef recipe.Vault was set to auto unseal using OCI key management solutions.

Chef cookbook was written which does the management of the chef server itself.Key activities performed by this cookbook were 1) reindex multiple orgs 2) query for checked in count of nodes 3) monitors disk space usage 4) takes chef server backups 5) manages chef users etc,,

This involved writing Chef cookbook which acts as a watchdog for the instances running Oracle Enterprise Manager service.It keeps an eye on the status of the OEM service and if the agent is found in stopped state or if the Heartbeat status of the agent is not OKay then it takes necessary actions to do auto remediation.

Artifactory HA setup required HA for multiple components -

1.. Keepalived to flip the VIP's

2.. Multiple artifactory instances each running nginx for application level high availiabilty

3.. For database high availability, I preferred using the Mysql Innodb cluster setup ( metadata only)

4.. Setup high availabilty of artifactory to use binary file store.
