Description

It is process in which subscriber can change Service provider/ location while keeping the same number. Project involved MNP rollout and continuous support in complex environment with multiple integrations and data flows. Instrumental in streamlining MNP rollout for one of the large telecom accounts in India. Setup multiple recons within internal and vendor teams to achieve 99.95% compliance as per the TRAI guidelines.

  • Work as part of a development team and establish close working relationships with stake holders, quality assurance, architects, as well as management
  • Work with the database developers, software developers and Development Lead, to architect and implement new features and solutions for customers
  • Worked on SQL Loader to load data from flat files obtained from various facilities in the integrated environment. Created shell scripts for invoking SQL scripts and scheduled them using crontab.
  • Used bulk collection for better performance and easy retrieval of data, by reducing context switching between SQL and PL/SQL engines.
  • Performed daily reconciliation of more than 1 million records to verify and update the status in case of any mismatch. Scheduled mails to share the reconciliation results from Unix to the concerned stakeholders for necessary action.
  • Automated dashboards from Database to senior management and client to reduce redundancy and automate reporting.
  • Participated and led Solution meetings for new projects or change in existing design. Recommended ways to control or minimize risks and suggest solutions ensuring zero impact on operation and customer. Redesigned the existing environment with a view to improve existing IT Operational setup (functionality, consolidation or management)
  • Involved in continuous System Improvement plans through automations and system tuning while maintaining existing functionality and focus on reduction in costs. Aligning IT Services to the changing needs by identifying and implementing improvements to the changing business needs.
  • Designed reconciliation processes in coordination with integrated applications in order to have zero fallouts. Created scripts in PL/SQL and Unix for MNP process adherence.

  • Applied ITIL and ITSM Organizational optimization and Business value add processes for productivity improvement, ticket reduction, and elimination of repetitive issues. With this I was able to save $17300 which is the cost of two FTE’s. Successfully implemented lean project for ticket and cost reduction through implementation of Lean methodologies namely Pareto, 5S, Automations and Mistake Proofing. It was recognized by Wipro and I was certified as Lean Practitioner.

  • Designed Prepaid Acquisition DB for client which handles more than 2 Lac transactions per day for Normal and MNP customers. Involved in full development cycle of SDLC

ECCS application is for facilitating export/import process PAN India. Links to the country’s major airports, ports and terminals and using the latest technology for electronic transmission direct to Customs, enables Express Cargo to provide fast Customs Clearance of shipments arriving at all Ports and Airports nationwide. I was part of DB development & maintenance team.

  • Created Procedures/ functions to facilitate Import & Export flows by integrating with Java Application.
  • Prepared MIS as per Business requirements.
  • Automation of dashboards to remove redundant work.
  • Stabilized application through AWR analysis, Query optimization and fine tuning and involved in other DB activities.

Description

Data deduplication is a specialized data compression technique for eliminating duplicate copies of repeating data in terms of demography. Related and somewhat synonymous terms are compressed and mapped to a single unique number. Critical customer SLAs are associated with Deduplication and processes are designed as per regulatory guidelines.

  • Designed procedures to perform deduping with around ~100 million records and delivered more than 95% results in less than 1 min as per SLA for daily 2 lac transactions.
  • Created scripts in Unix/Oracle to support parallel thread processing thus reducing execution time.
  • Prepared MIS for reporting.
  • SPOC for DB maintenance activities and coordinated with Business to understand requirements & converting them technically feasible solutions.

  • Worked with SLA Management Team to meet online Deduping SLA thus saving Compliance and further penalty.
  • Through implementation of various tenets of lean methodologies, I was able to deliver more than expected results without additional cost of resource and hardware. Prepared SIP and received certificate from Quality vertical.
