Description

House Keeping Application is an application which deals with the user privileges to access specific folders, to run specific Programs and users are restricted from creating folders, files in an unauthorized location in the client system. The application is embedded with a web service which surveillance the client system. If a user creates a folder or file the user will be prompted and the created folder will be moved to the quarantine location (server) without users knowledge. It helps admin to monitor individual systems based on their profile settings done by administrator. It comprises of mainly two modules viz., Admin and Service Modules. Admin Module: It mainly deals with managing user profiles, getting active directory details based on the settings, does regular purging, and forced purging on the shared folder located on the same server. This module has many features like Bulk upload of systems, SSOIDs (single sign on ids), managing systems by group names, and configuring global settings for all SSOIDs, configuring and updating individual SSOIDs. Service Module: It contains two Sub modules 1) windows service and 2) web service. Windows Service Module: It will run on Individual client systems and monitors profiles as per the configuration settings done by the admin. It quarantines/deletes the files created by users and kills the process created by the user based on the configuration. It will scan the system periodically to delete the files located in unauthorized location. It will identify the file owner and checks with the profile and acts accordingly. Web Service: It will communicate with DB and respond accordingly to the client service request all Database operations and quarantine operations are handled by the web service.

Advanced Command Interface (ACI) is a web application to connect to a UNIX server/Windows server and execute commands/run programs. The main criterion of the application is to allow the users to execute commands/run programs based on the role and association of the role with the command/process. This application includes mainly three modules command processing, Administrator and Reports. Command Processing: This is the module where the commands executed based on the association of the command/process with the role and the user associated with the role. Administrator: This is the module where the administrator can take care of all the administration part which includes servers, roles, commands, users, alerts, and associating roles with servers, roles with users, commands/process with roles, commands with switches, command/process with role and with non-global switches. In this, Users can request for commands and Administrator can approve or reject the commands. If Administrator approves the command. It has to be automatically mapped to sever, role, command group, command and switch and an e-mail should be sent to the user.
