This project is an enhancement of the system to allow orders to be held for a period of time while the doctor response is being sought for a prescription. The current hold functionality of the systems does not allow "incomplete" Rx's to be held (for example Rx's with an FRX or FRC edit). The hold functionality would need to be enhanced to allow "incomplete" prescription to be placed on hold. This functionality would allow lthe turnaround time clock for orders with a doctor hold to be paused while the response is sought.

This project elimates much of the manual work that is currently required to perform a "changeback", including manual order creation, manual prescription documentation, manual scanning induction into LINKS and the use of baggies (volume is about 26000 orders per year).

This would also mitigate the removalof ROCC Batch order imaging due to equipment obsolescence. A "changeback" occurs when a participant contacts the healthcare company complaining about a shipment they received from the healthcare company where the healthcare company changed the prescription in some way, usually las the result of a TIP, DAW or Managed Plan conflict, and the customer wants to change the medicine back to the original prescription.

The Quality Initiative (QI) Project was broken down to several small projects based on the requirements. BR10-BR13 is the "Warning Message when prescription count reaches 15 is doen to make the user aware that the prescription count for new order already reach 15 lines or more". BR14-BR16 is"Indicate Specific Manufacturer of a Drug" which purpose is for the subscriber to request for a specific brand of Drug. This specific drug requested by the subscriber should be the same drug to be issued on lthe whole duration of the prescription. This also means that the same brand will be issued to the subscriber when refil is requested.

The Benefit Request ID (a.k.a. BRT ID) use by the Healthcare company to process the benefit request is going to run out of unique identifier. This is being used throughout the company QL System. If the unique identifier run out of QL business will cease to function. To avoid this to happen lthe BRT project intends to increase the BRT ID size from l9 digits to l15 digits so that it can support l2.14 billion unique numbers. All programs, reports, files and screens that are using the BRT ID will be expanded to accommodate the 15 digit BRT ID.
