Description

BT’s main requirements for eCommerce are to provide a consolidated shopping cart and order journey that allows a customer to select, validate, order and configure multiple disparate products. This provides significant challenges to an eCommerce package because BT has multiple, separate ordering and customer support systems depending on what products are being ordered and BT has multiple business rules about its products.

BT.com eCommerce portal broadly divided into Presales, Order Journey and Post Sales. In that I was involved in Presales module. In Presales there is only one catalogue per store and a user can see all the product categories for that store. User can choose a category to see further listing of sub-categories and products. A user can order a product in the BT.com portal ecommerce platform. Presales having different types of categories like employee, pensioner and constructor which display the pages containing products and services based on the selected user type. Presales module mainly focuses on presenting the user about all the existing and new telecom products and their usage profit. Comparison of aimed products, Plans, pricing, discount on multiple selection, short term and long-term benefits of them. How the consumer can enhance the features of already existing BT products and information of beneficiary he is suitable and so on. After the absolute analysis has been done, customer will go for ordering of products.
