The purpose of the Test Jigs is to carry out testing & troubleshooting of the VME cards and its power supply cards The Onega Test Jig is the equipment used to detect any faults/failures in the VME cards and identify the source of such failureusing automation software build on Qt(C++).

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Designed theUI and the back-end code to carry out the testing of the printed circuit board (PCBs) assemblies.
  • Designed the UI and the back-endcode for the vme cardsby using inheritance concept and integrated to the main projectusing Qt(C++).
  • Developed the Maintenance Screen GUI and the back-end code forthe test application for all thechannels of the I/O cards by using signals and slots in Qt using C++.

Description

The AFCS is meant to carry out functioning testing of the electrical/electronic units & system cables harness mounted inside the K9 Vajra-T Gun. The test equipment is supposed to be used during the production phase of the project in the L&T factory to functionally check and validate the electrical/electronic assemblies post repair/manufacturing. The test equipment is also supposed to be used by the user at the base Workshop to functionally check and validate the electrical/electronic units & system cables harnesses of the K9 Vajra-T Gun.The test equipment is capable to carry out automatic testing of 21 units, 18 circuit board assemblies (PCBs), and 60 cable harnesses.

  • Designed the UI and the back-endcode for the 10units of the jig by using inheritance concept and integrated to the main projectusing Qt(C++) and MVC design patterns.

The scope of this test plan is to check all digital and analog I/O cards mounted inside the HOS Simulator Panel by using the Test Jig Application Software.The testing procedure is planned around running the test jig software and checking the I/O channels of the PCI and PCIe cards mounted in the test jig

Qt Creator 5.7.0(C++), Advantech PCI and PCIe Cards

Developed the test application by using multi-thread concept and used the concurrent thread in it.

Build and integrated the library of the PCI and PCIe cards in the Linux OS using Qt.

Designed the Maintenance screen back-end code for the PCI and PCIe cards by creating a UI using the widgets to check the each channel of the cards and integrated it’s library to the main project using Qt C++.

Performed System Architecture Design of all the connection in the Test Jig.

The testing procedure is planned around running the test jig software and subjecting it Unit Under Test(UUT's ) that are healthy as well as those that have some fault. Acceptance of the by the TJ by the customer is based on the ability of the system to detect a healthy UUT and a faulty UUT with some detail of the nature of failure (e.g. the channel(s) that are found faulty). The two kind of test jig designed the first is a Go/No-go type that tests the Revathi UUT’s at a high level and indicates if any of the UUT’s is faulty the second is Fault Finding type to detect the reason for the faulty in the UUT’s.
