  • GE Drives the world forward by tackling its biggest challenges, brining real progress and possibility to every corner of the planet – Extracting awaiting action report of onhold Invoices and analysing each invoice and getting approved as per the invoice discount date, and represented this the discount captured with high dollar amount wise and Top supplier wise through most powerful tool called Power BI.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work on all discounted invoices that are on hold for payments and make sure the discount is captured within the discount gates
  2. Prepare a weekly discount lost report and share it with Business with discount lost %
  3. Continuously follow-up with Business/ Buyer team/ Vendor to get a resolution to release the invoice for payment which can be paid in discounted terms.
  4. Improved the discount gain % from 69% to 86% in a span of 8 months.
  5. Prepare a detailed flowchart and provide reasons for loss of discount.
  6. Setup calls/ meetings with Business Units and discuss improvement ideas in reducing Discount lost %.
  • Improvements which had Impact:
  1. Worked with IT team and automated the process of sending auto notifications for invoices on hold.
  • To reduce discount lost due to late submission, suggested business to consider invoice receive date as invoice date so there will be 0% loss of discount
