Description

The testing lab was a project that I launched, the main goalwas to perform all the Product Validation in Mexico, this included environmentaltesting, vibration and some other.

I requested our government for some economical benefitsin order to support the launch of this program. This wasparticipating in a program where we showed them that the project had several benefits for the growth of our Country

At the end the result was to install and run the following equipment.

  • Vibration cell with a chamber
  • 2 humiditychambers
  • 2 thermal shockchambers

Lead the implementation of the Prototype Team, that included the human resources (Engineers, technicians, etc). This project was focused on launching the assembly of new products locally(in Mexico). Prior to that, everythingwas developed and made in the Technical Center in the USA.

With this project, the company saved money and time, making more profitablethe construction and sales of the prototype parts.

Description

Start the Engineeringdepartment. I lead this project, and the goal was to implement the Engineering locally (in Mexico) insteadof depending on the Technicalcenter in the USA.

I hired a groupof 3 Product Engineers and one CAD designer. I sent them to train for a period of time (from 1 to 2 years) to the technical center and from there the departmentwas fully consolidated and leading any new change on the products running in Mexico.

The know/how stayed locally, the reaction time was more short and the communication with the Customers was direct.
