About Me

I am Prashanth Verma. I have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science in IIT Guwahati (one of the top 10 institutes in India). After about four years of trying out different roles, watching more“find your passion”speeches than I would like to ad... of trying out different roles, watching more“find your passion”speeches than I would like to admit, I understood that I am only really good at two things: writing great code and publishing it into the world. I worked on two big apps in my career so far:

It has more than 300 million downloads and one of the most widely used apps in India. I mainly worked on the travel module of Paytm app. Implemented the Architecture in a one sub-module of the app using RxJava and Kotlin. Worked on Text to speech, Speech to text integration in the app. The Paytm app is very big so I lead a small team to modularize the code to small submodules so that we can implement App Bundle and Dynamic Delivery in the app.

It has more than 500k+ downloads. Implemented the Architecture of the Android App (MVVM) using latest architectural components given by Google. Designed the acknowledgement system for the notifications as notifications were a very important part of the app.

My main responsibilities revolved around building cutting-edge mobile applications. I am familiar with libraries like Retrofit, Butterknife, EventBus, Rxjava. I have quite a few contributions in Github and experience with Kotlin as well.

I have been exposed to wide variety of things such as building an app from scratch (almost as i worked in a startup like myGate) or maintaining the app and implementing new features or modules (as I worked in a big company like Paytm). I can fit almost anywhere. I learn quickly from my mistakes.
