Worked for two of the major clients of Infosys viz. Time warner Cable and Barclays, as Senior data warehouse engineer.
Interacted with business users and source system (OLTP) IT teams to define, agree and document incoming data mapping specifications.
Involved in leading offshore resources.
Provided project estimations to client and upon agreement with client delivered project accordingly.
The objective was to extract data from Flat Files and Oracle database and to initially load it into a single data warehouse repository, which was in Oracle.
Developed mappings using various transformations like update strategy, lookup, stored procedure, router, joiner, sequence generator and expression transformation.
Used Informatica Power Center Workflow Manager to create sessions, batches to run with the logic embedded in the mappings.
Designed and developed complex Aggregate, Join, Router, Look up and Update strategy transformation based on the business rules.
Extensively used ETL to load data from wide range of sources such as flat files, Oracle.
Wrote complex SQL queries using joins, sub queries and inline views to retrieve data from the database.
